Our Mission

The Burmese Medical Association of North America is a non-profit organization founded in July 1991 with the purpose to promote the welfare of persons of Burmese heritage in the medical profession, to assist physicians and healthcare professionals as they arrive from Burma with professional examinations, job placement and to secure the benefits of personal acquaintance. 

The Burmese Medical Association of North America Humanitarian and Educational Fund (BMA-NA HE Fund) was formed in 2003 as a charitable, 501(c) 3 non profit organization.
